10 and a half months old

Little Bear has transformed before my eyes, growing so fast from being my little baby, into a little boy. Crawling all over the place, able to pull himself up without any trouble, and standing for a few seconds at a time, I have a feeling he will be walking in no time, if not before his first birthday. I can't believe he is so close to that 1st birthday! I have many plans underway for that party...thank you pinterest for the hours spent with finding just the perfect decorations, cake, games, and food. Anyway, that will be another blog with pictures once that happens. :)

His two front teeth finally arrived, making a grand total of four. In the middle of teething, he had a mild croup, with that barking cough and running nose. Overall his sleeping wasn't the best, but other then being super cuddly it passed without incident.

His favorite toys right now, are his cell phone from Aunt C, and Mickey rattle from Friend H. His other toys tend to vary, including the junk mail and newspaper leftovers. He is in discovery mode, everything is something to examine or explore. (Including getting stuck in the bottom shelf of the bookcase, he was able to wiggle in, but not out. He shrieked to be freed, after I pulled him out, and set him on his way, he crawled away muttering shaking his head...if there was a language for baby cussing...I do believe that is what I heard! Still makes me laugh!)

He loves to feed himself, tends to go overboard and stuff his face...so we do have to monitor how much goes on his tray, and give him a little at a time. He loves chicken, mac and cheese, and ritz crackers. Aunt K, was privy to this, where at lunch, he scrapped a hole into the center of a Ritz cracker without breaking it. This kid has some amazing patience and skill!

We have cut out all TV, except PBS Create, Super Why or a movie, just feel like he has gotten very sensitive to even commercials and I really want to be careful what he sees. We've been playing lots of music and occasional Christian talk radio. He loves to dance to the music! Played a copy of an old record I had when I was a child, and he loves to bounce to those songs. So much fun to watch.

I love these two pictures, it shows how textile he is, and how he loves to examine every detail. His eyesight is phenomenal, we have to vacuum all the time, for every tiny piece he finds goes straight into his mouth. He has been recently pausing and trying to hid what he find in his hands and crawl away since he knows I will take it away, and tries to put it in his mouth around the corner. I've come to recognize that look of guilt and take swift action.

We do enjoy going to the library once a week. I've been learning to get a few more things done around his schedule, making sure he gets some alone play time too, while I get somethings around the house done, get a shower, and maybe lunch too. ;) We've been doing a womans bible study on the book James once a week, and that has been great! I've been excited to have rearranged the living room and finding new ways to have storage, keep things cleaner and more organized. the basement  and half of the garage are the last big spots to get organized. I tend to spend his nap times going through a little bit here and there...its amazing how fast an hour and a half can go, but a little at a time it will get done...like the tortoise and the hare song I have going on in my head from his music. :)

I am amazed how quickly times does fly, I'm thankful I set aside the baby calendar so every night before bed I jot something down for almost by the next day I don't remember the funny thing he did, the new discovery he made, or the daily adventure we went on. Although I am the most exhausted I have been in my life! I am the most fulfilled! I love being a mom!

Genetics

So I decided to take a look at some of my baby pictures...and I saw my son staring back.
It was awesome to see how much Little Bear looks like...me!
The quality of these images are not the best, as they are pictures of a picture, taken with my phone, however its fun to show the similarities, minus the bows, laces, and pink. :)

Bath Time Fun!

Bath time is a favorite for Little Bear.

I love his mischievous look!

Happy dude!

Such a cute little baby bottom

I love these eyelashes

Splash!

Escaping!

I just love how this photo turned out. It lasted for a second, and the towel fell so artfully.

Little Bear is already 9 Months Old!

it was time to lower the crib. now he can only peak over the edge.

A dancer in the family! :) Haha! Discovered the stairs, but so far only managed to get up two by himself.

Now standing without assistance, it just happened over night. He had been pulling himself up on me when we played, using me as his climbing gym, then the next day reached up and stood up!

Safe in Daddy's arms! His favorite place to be, on his way to his favorite time of day! Bath!

This is why we had to lower the crib, he could stand, and the rail was at his chest. My little baby is getting so big!

Reading with Daddy, a favorite daily activity with us.

In the newly lowered crib...not a happy camper! I'm in Jail mom!

We did have a couple of traumatic nap times with the new changes, he doesn't like dramatic change (Uh oh...much like me) I think he has adjusted once we got the bumpers readjusted

Happier! He was so much happier we put his old bumper in the back side of the crib.  He loves to snuggle up to it, but now he can't stand on it to use it as a launching pad.

Playing Peek-a-boo with daddy! Love you can see his grin through his eyes

Waving to Daddy!

He has just grown up so much! I really can't believe I'm just 3months away from his 1st birthday.  He's 26 1/4th inches tall! He's such a mover and a shaker, and is right on track and growing strong. The Doctor was so excited to see his test scores for his development and is well ahead of where he needs to be, so this mommy is very happy!

Top teeth haven't made their appearance, couple of false alarms and rough days, but no shows yet.
Table food is in process, loves squash and apples. Hates peas. Everything else he enjoys. We are learning to add more things, tried eggs, and he has enjoyed that.

Family news, my parents moved back to our area, close by just 10mins from my house...and we are soooo so happy to have them close by! Aunt AK gets to spend time with us as well and its just been so great to be here to see him grow. Little Bear is in Love with his Papa! I went grocery shopping the other day, and he went to my parents house to play for the hour. I got back and got a huge smile! Papa went in the other room, and instant HUGE pouty lip came out, and wasn't happy until Papa came back and held by his Papa. I just love that! Having almost all our family close by is so wonderful.

He is very investigative. At church the nursery volunteers told my hubby, that they would just hand him a toy, he'd sit there and examine it, then when he would get bored, they would just hand him a new toy and did that the whole time.
He loves to sing along with me to the radio, and read to me after I've read him the book.

He really does learn something new every day. Trying to keep up with the baby books. I finally put them by my bed so I can jot something down before sleep. He is sleeping through the night almost every night, there will be an occasional 4am wake up call, but he notices its still very dark, enjoys his snack and goes back to sleep. I love those sleepy smiles just for me. He has started to cuddle with me, nestling into my shoulder and hugging me when he gets sleepy. He loves to snuggle too when he first wakes up, just sit and relax a while. I love it!

Time to start planning the First Birthday party! Its just around the corner! The question is Mickey Mouse or Winnie the Pooh cake? :) Every day is an adventure! We are loving every moment we can.
